New to the Church?
Welcome to Haven Green.
When you come and join us at 10.30am on a Sunday morning, what will it be like?
You are welcomed at the door and will be shown to a seat. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm. If you bring along your children, there are childrens' groups in the hall which they are welcome to join if they wish. For the very young there is a supervised creche. The usual pattern of the service is as follows:
The first part of the service will have an introduction, a song and then a talk based on a passage of the Bible. We try and make it lively and relevant, using the big screen to show images and words.
Then, we break for 'Fellowship time'. You can get a cup of tea or coffee, have a chat to people or, if you would rather, just sit quietly and think about what you have heard. We have a bookstall, and there are always people available to pray with you if that is what you would like.
Finally, we get together again for 'Part 3'. The children join us for this part of the service when there is singing, prayers and chance to respond to what we have learned during the service. On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate 'Communion'.
The service is over by about 12.15. People often stay around to chat afterwards and then go home or go to eat in groups in one of the cafes in Ealing Broadway.
