An International Community
 In a recent church service we asked the congregation to mark on a map where they were born. The results were exciting - the picture shows the map we used with pins showing the locations. Over 40 percent were born outside the UK and less than 10 percent are real locals, coming from the London area. We really are an international church.
The range of countries that people come from is wide – from Brazil to Malaysia, from South Africa to Sweden, from Ireland to Iran.
This, of course, reflects the area we live in. Ealing used to be called the ‘Queen of the Suburbs’. Nowadays, it is a great ethnic, cultural melting-pot. This mix produces opportunities and challenges. Above all, it reflects the truth that God is Lord of the whole world, and we are part of a world-wide Communion of Saints.
